Midgar Haven(known as The Role-Playing Club, or TRPC prior to becoming official) was made official on Feb 07, 2003. It was founded by myself, Zero Dreax, and co-founded by Kidj3. Since then it has been moved to the new SoaH City, where it currently exists. The current leaders(Moderators) are Rec Asiakoth and BlueHawk. Do to it's current state of decline I decided to do some things to try and revive it, perhaps even improve it. This website is the first of those things, as this site will evolve and improve, if people like it and the ideas that go along with it.

The land of Midgar Haven. It's past is shrouded in mystery, it was found by Zero Dreax and a group of explorers who came through the Gate. So far the Gate appears to be the only way in or out of Midgar Haven. It is a large structure that uses a combination of magic and technology to create a portal to other places. As far as we know, SoaH City is the only place the Gate in Midgar can go to. Gates exist on many worlds, but only the Gate in SoaH City seems to be able to connect to Midgar Haven's Gate's address.
The explorable area of Midgar is limited by and invisible barrier around the town and immediate area around the Gate. It is believed the huge pillar-like towers encircling the area support this barrier. However, since no one really under stands Midgarian technology and none know why the barrier was made, it would be unwise to take it down.
Aside from the ruined buildings of the town around the Gate there appears to be no evidence of the ancient Midgarians, it is thought that they somehow became extinct. Some think whatever happened near their end may be related to the construction of the barrier.
After the initial expedition Midgar Haven became a meeting place for warriors of all types. Most of the older buildings have been repaired and new ones have been built. The sandstone roads have also been repaired, and the oasis has been kept in great condition. New water and electrical systems have been put in and the area now fully functions.
Now the town has become a sort of Mecca for warriors, mages, and the like. Among the buildings lining the sandstone streets are places such as the Town Hall, the Sword and Staff Inn, and Zero's Junk Shop. Off from the town, across the sands of the desert that is Midgar Haven, stands a large coliseum. |
